Aaron McGruder where are you?

For years I have turned to my man Huey Freeman to speak on the society ills. I watch the show on Adult Swim, but nothing compares to the comic strip that ran daily in the newspaper. Now is the time when I would want to hear what Huey had to say about the history that was made on November 4th, 2008.

If you have no idea what I am talking about here is a clip of the comic:

So Aaron if you are reading this, then where are you and what do you have to say.

This is why I love him

Aaron McGruder is doing what I would want to do with my art. How very cool that he had to mark his words and see Obama as president. I can't wait to see him do a cartoon about this crap. LOL

Did you know I had a secret crush on him? SHHHH! Don't tell anyone!

My favorite strip was from a long time ago:

Huey was waiting for the bus in the middle of a snowstorm, all bundled up, and next to him is a white classmate in a light jacket and shorts, and the bubble over the white boy says: What? Are you cold?

My ex and I laughed SO HARD at that because it pretty much summed up our college experience. I was a fan from that day on!

I love Aaron. My girl used to date him and he was so nice! I miss the strip too! I was sad when he went on hiatus and just wanted to concentrate on the show!

Aaron is a genius..and 'The Boondocks' was so on point..I loved the strip and the series on
"Adult Swim"..He has a book out with his best episodes of the Strip in it. In fact I think he has a couple of 'Boondocks' books out.

Dont get me wrong I love the cartoon but this year would have been a non stop laugh fest if the comic strip was out. How can you comment on society if you have to play catch up all the time?

Damn the cartoon bring back the strip!!
