Oh for the Love of God!

I wanted to just enjoy the holiday with no drama, but damn it the Republicans and their F$%kery have woken me from my rum and apple pie haze. so for your information ( I will leave comments to you)

The Republicans want you to believe that this is just a parody and funny but I would have to disagree, if this was any other President-elect all hell would break lose if this CD was sent out. AH the F$%kery!

From the Huffington post:

***UPDATE*** 12/27 4:45PM Reaction on the right to Saltsman's distribution of a song called "Barack the Magic Negro" in his quest to become the new chairman of the RNC has been mixed. One of Saltsman's rivals in the race for RNC chair, Ken Blackwell, an African-American himself, has defended Saltsman, dismissing the criticism as "hypersensitivity in the press":

"Unfortunately, there is hypersensitivity in the press regarding matters of race. This is in large measure due to President-Elect Obama being the first African-American elected president," said Blackwell, who would be the first black RNC Chairman, in a statement forwarded to Politico by an aide. "I don't think any of the concerns that have been expressed in the media about any of the other candidates for RNC chairman should disqualify them. When looked at in the proper context, these concerns are minimal. All of my competitors for this leadership post are fine people."

However, the current chairman of the RNC, Mike Duncan, has issued a statement saying he is "shocked and appalled" that Saltsman could have thought this was appropriate:

Duncan's statement, in full: "The 2008 election was a wake-up call for Republicans to reach out and bring more people into our party. I am shocked and appalled that anyone would think this is appropriate as it clearly does not move us in the right direction."

EARLIER: The Hill reports that a Republican operative seeking to be the next chairman of the RNC has invited controversy by distributing to committee members a CD filled with songs poking fun at liberals, including one called "Barack the Magic Negro":

RNC candidate Chip Saltsman's Christmas greeting to committee members includes a music CD with lyrics from a song called "Barack the Magic Negro," first played on Rush Limbaugh's popular radio show.

Saltsman, a personal friend of conservative satirist Paul Shanklin, sent a 41-track CD along with a note to national committee members...

...The CD, called "We Hate the USA," lampoons liberals with such songs as "John Edwards' Poverty Tour," "Wright place, wrong pastor," "Love Client #9," "Ivory and Ebony" and "The Star Spanglish banner."

Several of the track titles, including "Barack the Magic Negro," are written in bold font.

This mess is starting to make me ill. I can't deny that I've enjoyed a few good parodies over the past year, but testing the waters to see just how far they can go is really crossing the line in my book.

Happy new year, girlie!

I love a good joke and all (I admit I laughed a few times at this so-called "parody"), but what I do not like is the complete and total disrespect for our future President. Pres-Elect Obama is the future leader of the new world and he gets treated this way for what? He has done absolutely nothing to invite this sort of criticism (in comparison to Slick Willy, who brought all jokes on himself). These are the same folks that would have a cow, though, if the man did not wear his flag pin for 1 day....some level of respect for your country, geez.

OK, let me chime in here. First off, we have the great fortune of living in this wonderful country called the U.S. of A. and we have the freedom of speech.
These folks are simply exercising that. Is it offensive, hell yes, am I pissed? Hell no.
Our president is black and we are all happy but so many others are not. We are going to have to develop a thick skin about this shit or we will walk around more pissed than we were before he won.
We can't lose our minds and get all up in arms about them saying something offensive about him because he's black.
Tell the truth, if this were a McCain parody about him going to high school with Jesus, we would all be laughing and forwarding it to all our friends.
Walk it off, it will piss them off more if we don't react.

Free speech is what it is - I admit I laughed at this .. dique Al Sharpton mad that Barak is President ... I'm sorry, that shit is funny. "He's Black, but not authentically." LMAO.

Now, I will admit that it's racially charged and Im' sure this is the censored version and that they have one hidden somewhere talkin' about the magic nigger (can I write that here?) and that if it leaks would get them dragged around by their ankles ... I get that.

But Al Sharpton bein mad? It woulda been better if it were Mr. Jackson (I don't call him reverend anymore after the whole castration thing) ... but hey, we've been making fun of Bush for YEARS now! Who among us hasn't called Bush White Trash? Anyone?

The man is dumber than a box of broken christmas ornaments and we've all been raggin on his honkey ass ... so, tit for tat. Fine.

I say, BRING IT.

Okay, you can't be made at me because I was reluctant to click the play arrow, but i did and I'm sorry, but the crap is funny. I know, I know, I am so wrong, but we have to be willing to laugh at ourselves as black folks. Face it, they are gonna hit Obama up sooner or later and if we get pissed off everytime they do, we are gonna get ulsers (did I spell that right). Besides, the crap was truly funny. Wrong, but funny.
